The Secretary must try to make partnerships with State, Tribal, local, or private groups that know about outdoor recreation, volunteering, accessibility, and health programs for members of the Armed Forces and veterans. Under those partnerships, the Secretary can hold events on Federal recreational lands and waters to promote outdoor activities for members of the Armed Forces and veterans. The Secretary can also give money or technical help to partners to plan and run those events or to buy assistive technology that improves outdoor recreation opportunities for members of the Armed Forces and veterans.
