Defines key words used in this subchapter. “Commercial use authorization” means a permit to provide services to visitors in National Park System units under subchapter II of chapter 1019 of title 54. “Multijurisdictional trip” means a trip that uses 2 or more Federal recreational lands or waters and is under the control of 2 or more Federal land management agencies. “Recreation service provider” and “special recreation permit” are defined in section 6801 of this title (as amended by section 311). “Visitor‑use day” means whatever counting method the Secretary uses to authorize permit use, such as a daily visitor count, a “user day,” a launch, or a similar metric.
