Acts in paragraphs (6), (8), (9), and (10) of a related provision are crimes. Penalty: up to $50,000 and/or 6 months' jail. If a dangerous weapon is used, or an authorized officer or treaty observer is injured or threatened with immediate harm, penalty rises to $100,000 and/or 10 years' prison. Federal district courts handle them.
