Title 17 › Chapter 13— PROTECTION OF ORIGINAL DESIGNS › § 1322
Courts can stop design copying with temporary or preliminary orders. A seller or distributor hurt by a wrongly obtained order can sue the person who asked for it to recover lost profits, material costs, loss of goodwill, punitive damages for bad faith, and attorney fees unless the court finds extenuating circumstances.
