Title 18 › Part I— CRIMES › Chapter 47— FRAUD AND FALSE STATEMENTS › § 1022
Anyone who is allowed to make or give a certificate, voucher, receipt, or similar paper that says someone received weapons, ammunition, supplies, clothing, or other military items, and who gives that paper to someone else without being sure the facts are true and with the intention to cheat the United States or a government agency, can be punished. They may be fined, jailed for up to 10 years, or both.
