Title 18 › Part I— CRIMES › Chapter 47— FRAUD AND FALSE STATEMENTS › § 1036
Using lies or fake papers to get into or try to get into land, buildings, boats, or airplanes owned or leased by the United States, or into secure parts of airports or seaports, is a federal crime. If the person meant to commit a felony, the punishment can be a federal fine, up to 10 years in prison, or both. In other cases the punishment can be a federal fine, up to 6 months in jail, or both. Secure area — a place where access is limited by the airport authority, the seaport captain, or a public agency. Airport — as defined in 49 U.S.C. 47102.
