Title 18 › Part I— CRIMES › Chapter 63— MAIL FRAUD AND OTHER FRAUD OFFENSES › § 1351
Makes it a crime to knowingly and deliberately defraud people by recruiting, hiring, or trying to recruit workers outside the United States for jobs in the United States by using serious lies or false promises. It also covers causing someone else to do that or trying to do it. It also applies when the job is on a U.S. government contract abroad, on a U.S. military base or mission overseas, or on other U.S.-owned or controlled property abroad. A person who breaks this can be fined or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both.
