Title 18 › Part I— CRIMES › Chapter 93— PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES › § 1902
Federal officers, employees, or agents who get confidential information that could affect the market for U.S. crops and who willfully share it with people not allowed to have it, or who buy or sell those crops before the information is publicly released, can be fined, jailed up to ten years, or both. They must have known the rule that barred sharing it before they did so.
