Title 18 › Part I— CRIMES › Chapter 101— RECORDS AND REPORTS › § 2073
Anyone who works for the U.S. government or its agencies and who keeps records, or who handles, holds (including in trust), or pays government money or securities must not make false entries or reports with the intent to deceive, harm, or cheat. A person who does this can be fined, put in prison for up to 10 years, or both.
