Anyone who stops, tries to stop, or threatens to stop someone from getting a job, position, pay, or other relief paid for by an Act of Congress for work relief or other relief purposes because of their political party, race, color, sex, religion, or national origin can be fined under federal law, jailed for up to one year, or both.
