Any electronic, mechanical, or other device used, made, sold, or carried in ways that break sections 2511 or 2512 can be seized and kept by the United States. The legal rules that apply to seizing and forfeiting ships, vehicles, merchandise, and baggage under the customs laws in title 19 also apply to these devices when they fit and do not conflict. Duties that would go to a customs collector must be done by officers or agents the Attorney General names.
