Summary

A court can order the government to give a written list of specific details about the charges if a defendant asks. A defendant may ask for that list before arraignment or within 14 days after arraignment. The court can allow a later request for a good reason. The judge decides whether to grant the request. If the court orders the government to provide the list, the government must file it by the deadline the court sets.
