Anyone who collects private debts or offers private police, investigation, or detective services must not use words like "national," "Federal," "United States," "U.S.," or any government-style emblem in messages, notices, ads, or letters to make it seem like the U.S. government sent them. A person who does this can be fined or jailed for up to one year, or both.
