Failing to promptly take a vessel or vehicle to its destination port, hand it to customs, follow Treasury rules, or unload/dispose of its cargo elsewhere is a felony punishable by up to $1,000 fine, up to five years' prison, or both; the vessel/vehicle and cargo may be forfeited.
