Defines key words used in this part of the law. "Beneficiary developing country" means a country the President has named by Executive order or presidential proclamation. "Country" means any foreign country or territory, including overseas dependent territories and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands; the President may treat all members of a free trade area or customs union as one country except members barred under section 2462(b). "Entered" means brought into the United States customs area or taken out of a warehouse for use. "Internationally recognized worker rights" covers five basics: joining unions, organizing and collective bargaining, no forced labor, child labor limits including bans on the worst forms, and safe, fair pay and hours. "Least-developed beneficiary developing country" is a beneficiary country designated under section 2462(a)(2). "Worst forms of child labor" means slavery-like practices and forced recruitment, using children in prostitution or pornography, using children for illegal activities like drug trafficking, and work likely to harm a child’s health, safety, or morals.
