When the Trade Representative gets a representation under section 2552, they must look into the matter by talking with the agency or person accused of violating the Agreement, the member agencies of the interagency trade organization under section 1872(a), other relevant federal agencies, and the representatives named in section 2547. The Trade Representative must try to settle the issues through consultation and reach a solution that all parties can accept.
