The standards information center must make public relevant documents and information. It can charge reasonable fees set by the Secretary of Commerce. The center must include: health and plant safety rules of general use (called sanitary and phytosanitary measures), including control, inspection, or approval procedures proposed, adopted, or used by federal or state agencies; how agencies do risk assessments and the factors they use to set protection levels; how federal and state governments take part in international, regional, and other agreements on these measures and what those agreements say; and where to find notices required by Article 719 of NAFTA or the information in them.
