The standards information center must give the public access to relevant documents and information, and it can charge reasonable fees set by the Secretary of Commerce. That information must show who from the Federal Government, state governments, and relevant non-government groups takes part in international and regional standards bodies, conformity-assessment systems, and related bilateral or multilateral agreements and what those systems say. It must show where to find notices required under article 909 of the NAFTA or how to get that information, and it must show each federal agency’s risk-assessment procedures, the factors they use, and the protection levels they set.
