Title 19 › Chapter 16— WINE TRADE › § 2802
Defines key terms used in this chapter. "Committees" refers to the House Committee on Ways and Means and the Senate Committee on Finance. "Grape product" means grapes and things made from grapes other than wine, such as raisins and grape juice, concentrated or not. "Major wine trading country" is any foreign country or group labeled that way under section 2803. "Nontariff barrier (or other distortion)" means government actions by such countries that favor their wine industry or limit U.S. wine imports. "Trade Representative" means the United States Trade Representative. "United States wine" is wine made inside the customs territory of the United States. "Wine" means a fermented alcoholic drink from grapes or other fruit that has at least 0.5 percent and at most 24 percent alcohol by volume and is for nonindustrial use.
