Within one year after the first Chief IP Negotiator is appointed under paragraph (2) of section 2171(b), and every year after, the U.S. Trade Representative must send the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means committees a report on enforcement and other actions to protect and advance U.S. innovation and intellectual property.
