Title 2 › Chapter 22— JOHN C. STENNIS CENTER FOR PUBLIC SERVICE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT › § 1101
Congress supports creating a training center named for Senator John C. Stennis to develop leaders and encourage public service careers. Senator Stennis served more than 60 years in public life, including 41 years in the U.S. Senate. He led several major Senate committees (Ethics, Armed Services, and Appropriations) and was President pro tempore. Congress says he cared about building public‑service leadership and that a center in his name would be a fitting tribute to that work.
