Title 2 › Chapter 26— DISCLOSURE OF LOBBYING ACTIVITIES › § 1607
Protects three basic rights: the right to ask the government to fix problems, the right to say your own opinion, and the right to join or belong to groups. It also says the rules do not stop people or groups from lobbying or contacting officials to influence them, even if they are not following these rules. And it does not give the Secretary of the Senate or the Clerk of the House broad powers to run general audits or investigations.
