Title 2 › Chapter 5— LIBRARY OF CONGRESS › § 168
The Librarian of Congress must publish a hardbound revised edition called the Constitution Annotated with notes on Supreme Court decisions through the end of the October 1971 term. After the October 1973, 1975, 1977, and 1979 terms, the Librarian must issue cumulative pocket‑part supplements (small update booklets) with decisions decided after October 1971. After the October 1981 term and then every tenth October term, a new hardbound decennial revised edition must be published with all earlier annotations. After the October 1983 term, and after each later October term in an odd-numbered year whose final digit is not 1, cumulative pocket‑part supplements must update the most recent decennial edition with decisions not included there.
