§1743 Authorization of Appropriations

Summary

Funds can be provided to the Librarian starting with the first fiscal year that begins on or after November 9, 2000, and for each year after that through fiscal year 2026. The Librarian may get whatever money is needed to carry out this chapter, but no more than $250,000 in any one fiscal year.

There are authorized to be appropriated to the Librarian for the first fiscal year beginning on or after November 9, 2000, and each succeeding fiscal year through fiscal year 2026 such sums as may be necessary to carry out this chapter, except that the amount authorized for any fiscal year may not exceed $250,000.

of 2008 Amendment Pub. L. 110–336, § 2(a)(1)(B), Oct. 2, 2008, 122 Stat. 3726, provided that: “The amendment made by subparagraph (A) [amending this section] shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000 [Pub. L. 106–474].”
