Title 2 › Chapter 28— ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL › Subchapter IV— APPROPRIATIONS AND EXPENDITURES › § 1868
Starting January 1, 1965 and for every six-month period after, the Architect of the Capitol must make a report of all spending from its appropriated funds and send it to the Senate and House no later than 60 days after the period ends. The report is based on payrolls and other vouchers sent to the Treasury for payment and must be printed as a Senate document. The report must show three things: each employee’s name, title, and gross salary; government contributions to retirement, health, insurance, and similar funds; and each payee with a short description of services or items bought under contracts or purchase orders. For the semiannual period beginning January 1, 1976, include July 1–September 30, 1976 and treat it as closing September 30, 1976. After that, the six-month periods are October 1–March 31 and April 1–September 30 each year.
