Defines several key words used in this part. A "Capitol‑flown flag" is a U.S. flag flown over the Capitol to honor a deceased person for whom the flag is requested. The words chaplain, firefighter, law enforcement officer, member of a rescue squad or ambulance crew, and public agency use the meanings given in 34 U.S.C. 10284. "Immediate family member" means spouse, parent, brother, sister, child, someone who acted as the person’s parent, or any other relative by blood or marriage. "Public safety officer" means someone serving a public agency, paid or unpaid, as a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or chaplain. "Representative" includes a Delegate or Resident Commissioner to Congress.
