Architect of the Capitol must run the Capitol Power Plant so boilers and chillers use energy efficiently to cut carbon emissions and lower costs. That means changing steam pressure, water temperature, and how boilers and chillers operate to match demand and seasons. They must start within 30 days after December 19, 2007; check and fix meters within 90 days; and finish and report within 180 days to House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure; Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation; House Committee on House Administration; and Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.
