§4722 Mandatory Senate Ethics Training for Members and Staff

Summary

The Select Committee on Ethics must run ongoing ethics training and awareness programs for Senators and Senate staff. New Senators and staff must finish the training within 60 days after they start. Senators and staff who were serving on September 14, 2007 must finish within 165 days after that date.

(a)The Select Committee on Ethics shall conduct ongoing ethics training and awareness programs for Members of the Senate and Senate staff.
(b)The ethics training program conducted by the Select Committee on Ethics shall be completed by—
(1)new Senators or staff not later than 60 days after commencing service or employment; and
(2)Senators and Senate staff serving or employed on September 14, 2007, not later than 165 days after September 14, 2007.
