§477 Utilization of Services of Library of Congress

Title 2 › Chapter 15— OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT › § 477

Last updated Apr 3, 2026|Official source

Summary

The Librarian of Congress can let the Office use help from the Congressional Research Service to meet the chapter’s goals. That help can include any of the services CRS normally provides to Congress. Letting CRS help the Office does not change CRS’s work or duties for Congress, but the Librarian may create new groups inside CRS to do the work. The services can be paid for or provided for free from the Office’s funds, if the Board and the Librarian of Congress agree.
