Title 2 › Chapter 15— OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT › § 478
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) must provide the Office with financial and administrative help. That means help with budgeting, accounting and financial reports, hiring and personnel matters, buying goods and services, and other appropriate tasks. The GAO can give the same kinds of help it gives Congress, and this does not change other GAO duties for Congress. The Board and the Comptroller General will decide whether the Office pays for the services or gets them free.
