Allows the House to pay back travel costs from House accounts made available after August 28, 1965, for up to two employees in a Member’s office (including the Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico). Either two employees may get one round trip each, or one employee may get two round trips, in any calendar year between Washington, D.C., and the Member’s home in the district. Payment must be on a voucher the Member approves and signs saying the travel was for official duty. Reimbursement cannot be more than the round-trip distance by the usual shortest route between Washington, D.C., and the Member’s home. The House Oversight Committee will make rules to run this.
