§5535 Report of Disbursements for House of Representatives

Summary

The Chief Administrative Officer must give the House a detailed, itemized report of House spending within 60 days after each half-year. The half-years are January 1–June 30 and July 1–December 31, and this starts with the half-year when the law is enacted. The report must show who was paid, the quantity and price of items bought, descriptions of services with the time spent and who was paid (name, title, amount), all amounts appropriated, received, spent and any balances, the information sent to the Comptroller General under section 3523(a) of title 31, and any extra details the Committee on House Oversight requires. If a voucher is for a witness who appeared in a committee executive session, the report for that half-year must show only the payment date, voucher number, and amount; full details go in the next report. Each report must be printed as a House document. Sections 102, 103, 104, and 4108 of this title do not apply to the House of Representatives.
