Title 2 › Chapter 65— SENATE OFFICERS AND ADMINISTRATION › Subchapter III— SERGEANT AT ARMS AND DOORKEEPER OF SENATE › Part A— Organization and Personnel › § 6598
The Sergeant at Arms can pick one or more employees in his office to approve payments, payroll, or personnel actions that he is allowed to approve. While the pick stands, approvals by those employees count as if the Sergeant at Arms approved them, until he revokes it and tells the Committee in writing.
