When Senators, Senate committees, or Senate offices buy items from the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate that were originally bought with the "miscellaneous items" appropriation under "Contingent Expenses of the Senate," the Sergeant at Arms must deposit the sale money into the U.S. Treasury and have it credited back to that same appropriation. This rule does not apply to money from selling used or surplus furniture and equipment.
