The Institute can give money to low-income students to help them take part in its programs. It offers summer stipends and Ralph Bunche scholarships. Summer stipends (up to $3,000 per summer) must be used for travel, housing, and school costs needed to join a summer institute program. Ralph Bunche scholarships (up to $5,000 per academic year) are for full-time college students accepted into a funded program and must be used for costs related to the college’s cost of attendance.
