Title 20 › Chapter 37— ASSIGNMENT OR TRANSPORTATION OF STUDENTS › § 1656
It bans any U.S. court or official from ordering students to be moved between schools or school districts to make the racial mix of a school different, and it also stops courts from expanding their power to force that kind of result. The ban covers every public school pupil, school, school board, and school system named in Title IV, everywhere in the United States — in all states, territories, commonwealths, and possessions — at all times and under any conditions.
