Title 20 › Chapter 52— EDUCATION FOR ECONOMIC SECURITY › Subchapter III— PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATION FOR MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE, AND ENGINEERING › Part A— Higher Education Partnerships › § 3984
Grant recipients may spend the payments they get under this part in any fiscal year on two kinds of education partnerships: college-level and K–12. For college programs, funds can improve teaching and research in math, science, computer science, and engineering; pay scholarships; run faculty exchanges with businesses; buy or fix lab equipment; and support public outreach about these subjects. For elementary and secondary schools, funds can place teachers in local businesses, bring business staff into schools as helpers or teachers, provide teacher training with businesses, give students work or observation experiences, and start computer clubs. Partners can include colleges, businesses, nonprofits, school districts, professional groups, museums, libraries, educational TV stations, and state agencies if the State wants.
