Title 20 › Chapter 52— EDUCATION FOR ECONOMIC SECURITY › Subchapter III— PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATION FOR MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE, AND ENGINEERING › Part B— Elementary and Secondary Education Partnerships › § 3994
Allows a State to spend grant money on K–12 programs that improve math and science. The State education agency runs the money and gives grants by competition. The money can buy equipment, books, and lab or library upgrades, and can help form partnerships to improve math and science teaching. It can also attract matching cash or donated equipment and time from businesses, libraries, museums, nonprofits, professional groups, and state agencies. Funds may pay for advanced placement programs that let qualified high school students take college-level science or math part‑ or full‑time. A local agency that uses these funds for an advanced placement program must give the program a share of its State funds based on how many students take it and how much instruction time each student gets.
