Title 20 › Chapter 55— EDUCATION OF THE DEAF › Subchapter II— GENERAL PROVISIONS › § 4355
The Secretary must watch over and evaluate the University’s education programs and its administrative work. That includes elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate programs and NTID. The Secretary can also study preschool through postsecondary education and related services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. The Secretary may hire consultants under section 3109 of title 5 if needed. Each year the Secretary must send Congress a report about these monitoring and evaluation activities and any recommendations, including ideas for new laws. Money may be provided as needed for each fiscal year 2009 through 2014 to pay for these activities.
