§4705 Stipends

Summary
People who receive a scholarship or fellowship must be given a stipend. That stipend can be up to the recipient’s actual costs for tuition, fees, books, and room and board, or a smaller amount the Board decides. People who get a research internship must also receive a stipend set by the Board, and it cannot be larger than the highest stipend paid for a scholarship or fellowship.

Each person awarded a scholarship or fellowship under this chapter shall receive a stipend which shall not exceed the cost to such person for tuition, fees, books, room and board, or such lesser amount as may be prescribed by the Board. Each person awarded a research internship under this chapter shall receive a stipend as may be prescribed by the Board, which shall not exceed the maximum stipend amount awarded for a scholarship or fellowship.
