Title 20 › Chapter 66— MORRIS K. UDALL AND STEWART L. UDALL FOUNDATION › § 5606
Creates a trust fund in the U.S. Treasury called the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Trust Fund. A Foundation will run the fund. It holds money Congress puts in and other amounts credited under the law. The Treasury Secretary must invest all amounts Congress provides, following the Foundation Board’s directions. Investments must be in U.S. government debt with maturities that fit the fund’s needs, and interest rates are set by the Secretary based on current market yields. Beginning October 1, 2023, interest earned from investments made with any new appropriations is only available if Congress approves it and may be used to carry out this law.
