The Secretary of the Interior can give grants to Indian tribes to help them make and carry out agreements to get back Indian human remains and funerary objects from the Board of Regents and from other federal or non-federal groups. Congress authorized $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1991 and whatever sums are needed for later years to pay for these grants.
