§80q–15 Authorization of Appropriations

Summary

Allows the Board of Regents to get $10,000,000 for fiscal year 1990 to carry out this subchapter, except for the specific parts listed (sections 80q–5(b)(1)(B), 80q–6, 80q–8, 80q–9, 80q–10, 80q–12, and 80q–13(c)(5)). It also allows whatever sums are needed for each later fiscal year. Money appropriated under this rule can be kept without yearly time limits and used before the new facilities under section 80q–5 are ready. It may pay for administrative and planning costs and for the care and custody of the National Museum collections.

(a)There is authorized to be appropriated to the Board of Regents to carry out this subchapter (other than as provided in section 80q–5(b)(1)(B), 80q–6, 80q–8, 80q–9, 80q–10, 80q–12, and 80q–13(c)(5) of this title)—
(1)$10,000,000 for fiscal year 1990; and
(2)such sums as may be necessary for each succeeding fiscal year.
(b)Funds appropriated under subsection (a) shall remain available without fiscal year limitation for any period prior to the availability of the facilities to be constructed under section 80q–5 of this title for administrative and planning expenses and for the care and custody of the collections of the National Museum.
