The Director must make customer service a top priority for everything the Institute or any National Education Center does or supports. To do that, the Director must set up and improve ways to get feedback so customer needs can be predicted. The Director must share information quickly in easy-to-use formats for researchers, practitioners, and the public. The Director must use modern technology and methods, including agreements to use electronic data from States and local educational agencies, to collect and share data and reports efficiently. The Director must measure data quality with performance indicators and keep improving management so information reaches the public fast.
