Title 20 › Chapter 26A— INDEMNITY FOR EXHIBITIONS OF ARTS AND ARTIFACTS › § 973
People, nonprofits, institutions, or governments who want an indemnity agreement must apply under the rules the Council sets. The application must describe each item and its estimated value, show the items meet the eligibility rules in section 972(a), and explain how the items will be prepared, shown, and transported. If the Council approves, it will make a contract that promises the U.S. government will pay any amounts the Council owes under that agreement. The Council is allowed to make that promise.
