Title 21 › Chapter 4— ANIMALS, MEATS, AND MEAT AND DAIRY PRODUCTS › Subchapter III— PREVENTION OF INTRODUCTION AND SPREAD OF CONTAGION › § 114i
The Secretary of Agriculture must create and run a program to get rid of pseudorabies in U.S. pigs. The work should be done with State agencies and the pork industry, and Congress says eradicating the disease is a high priority until it is gone. At least 65 percent of the program’s money must pay for testing, screening, and other things directly used to stop or control pseudorabies, and this rule must not hurt other animal or plant disease programs. Money could be provided as needed for each fiscal year 1991 through 2007.
