Title 21 › Chapter 24— INTERNATIONAL NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING › § 1906
Breaking the rules here on purpose, or willfully refusing to follow a Presidential order under the law, can bring criminal penalties. A person can be jailed for up to 10 years and fined as set in title 18; a company can be fined up to $10,000,000. If an officer, director, or agent of a company knowingly joins in the violation, they can face up to 30 years in prison, up to $5,000,000 in fines, or both. The Secretary of the Treasury can also impose a civil penalty up to $1,000,000 for violations of any license, order, rule, or regulation under the law. Court review of that civil penalty is allowed only as provided in section 702 of title 5.
