§2335 Exception Relating to Importation of Goods

Summary
Agencies cannot use the powers in this chapter to put penalties on goods brought into the country. "Good" means any item or substance, natural or made by people, such as supplies, manufactured products, and inspection or test equipment, but not technical data.

(a)The authorities and requirements to impose sanctions under this chapter shall not include the authority or a requirement to impose sanctions on the importation of goods.
(b)In this section, the term “good” means any article, natural or manmade substance, material, supply, or manufactured product, including inspection and test equipment, and excluding technical data.
