Title 21 › Chapter 13— DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND CONTROL › Subchapter II— IMPORT AND EXPORT › § 960a
You commit a crime if you commit, try to commit, or plan a drug offense that would be illegal under section 841(a) while you know or intend to give anything worth money to a person or group that has done terrorist activity or terrorism (as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(3)(B) or 22 U.S.C. 2656f(d)(2)). The punishment is prison for at least twice the minimum punishment under section 841(b)(1) and up to life, a fine under title 18, or both. Any sentence must also include at least 5 years of supervised release after prison. U.S. courts have power over these cases when the conduct violates U.S. criminal law, affects interstate or foreign commerce, causes or aims to cause death or serious injury to a U.S. national abroad or major damage to U.S. organized property abroad, occurs partly or fully outside the U.S. and involves a U.S. national or U.S. entity, or the offender is brought into or found in the U.S. after the conduct. To be guilty, a person must know the recipient has engaged in terrorist activity. “Anything worth money” means what 18 U.S.C. 1958(b)(1) says.
