Title 22 › Chapter 112— COMBATING GLOBAL CORRUPTION › § 10504
The Secretary of State, working with the Treasury Secretary, must look for foreign people who committed major corruption and who could be sanctioned under the Global Magnitsky Act. The review must cover countries on the 10502(b) list and anyone involved in planning, construction, or operation of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Within 180 days after the 10502(b) list is provided, and every year after, the Secretary must report to congressional committees naming who was sanctioned, the dates and reasons, and who is tied to Nord Stream 2 corruption. Reports should be unclassified (a classified annex is allowed). Except for the Nord Stream 2 list, the Secretary may give a briefing with a written justification instead of a written report. The Nord Stream 2 duties end on December 22, 2028.
